New colors and shapes furnish the spaces. Milano Bedding presents, in an unprecedented stand, its convertible proposals for residential, contract and hotel environments.
Sofa beds and storage beds are increasingly contemporary, comfortable and functional.
The 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, the 22nd consecutive year for Milano Bedding, has been defined as „record-breaking“.
In fact, it registered a +17% of visitors compared to 2023, as noted by Maria Porro, president of the event. A success also for Milano Bedding which saw an increase in visitors from all over the world, especially Spain, India, China, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Russia.
There were numerous compliments for the stand, renovated by the architects Sabina Sallemi and Elisabetta Garoni, in collaboration with Kikko Bestetti. A space divided into several rooms, one for each product, with the common thread being 1950s design. The sofa beds and upholstered storage bed were surrounded by warm earth tones. A chromatic trend, a greater openness towards the use of color, which characterized not only the Milano Bedding exhibition but, in general, the Milan Design Week.
In this edition, a growing attention to detail and to craftsmanship that meets design has emerged. Milano Bedding has always been its spokesperson.

Starting from the bedroom, this evolves to become a welcoming and refined, comfortable and functional space. Furnishing solutions that balance aesthetics and practicality are therefore rewarded. For example, the new Cocos upholstered storage bed presented by Milano Bedding.
A model featuring a light and „floating“ frame, which conceals a storage; an aesthetic studied in detail, to make the insertion of a bed with this function into the more delicate and simpler room. In fact, the base recesses from the bed frame to disappear from sight, thus giving a sensation of lightness and of sleeping floating in the air. Cocos is decorated with a quilted headboard, showing an elegant and contemporary woven effect, capable of giving personality to the bedroom. In addition, sleeping comfort is optimal, thanks to the self-adjusting slats and the wide range of Milano Bedding mattresses designed for different needs.
With regards to the living room, also in 2024 the furnishing accessories are confirmed with soft and comfortable shapes.
The sofas adapt to the different needs of everyday life, at home and also in accommodation facilities, giving versatility and comfort. Textile covers are preferred, winking at „inserts“ of unusual materials such as metal.
The transformable sofa is designed for small spaces or for those who want maximum practicality. In fact, Haden, available with or without armrests, easily and quickly becomes a bed by pulling the seat forward and lowering the backrest down. An opening system that allows you to have a cross 200cm long daybed and which takes up less space than sofas with front opening. Furthermore, to complete the maximum search for functionality, a storage place can be placed under the seat of the sofa to store the pillows.
With a view to constant growth and evolution of projects, conviviality is also the protagonist in the living areas.
Guests are invited to sit and chat thanks to sofas specially designed to facilitate the meeting.
And this is how Milano Bedding decided to propose a new version of the Marsalis sofa bed, designed by Cristophe Pillet. At the Salone del Mobile.Milano the model was displayed in a contemporary green, with leather frame and fabric seat and backrest cushions.
The novelty is therefore a hexagonal terminal unit, which can be positioned on the right or left and gives the sofa a slightly curved shape, to become a place for conversation. In this guise Marsalis maintains its peculiarity of having a particularly thin structure, even in the linear part that contains the bed. A formal research that makes this convertible sofa as light and elegant as a fixed sofa.
Speaking instead of Fuorisalone, creativity was widespread throughout Milan. New ways and worlds of contemporary living have come to life, giving ideas for living.
This year Milano Bedding participated, in the lively Tortona District, in the concept of „experiential hospitality“ of the „Experience Design Bed & Show“ space. The Clarke sofa bed, a best seller of the company, was and will continue to be present at the location that offers this formula. So, what does it consist of ? A true brand experience: you stay in the space and really interact with the product, use it and try it also with a view to a possible purchase.
A more than positive outcome for this Milanese design week.
